My husband and I were in town for a friend’s birthday and wanted to stay in town. We chose to stay here for the night. The room was clean had a mini fridge and microwave which was nice and coffee maker. We were on the second floor and …
Everything was ok my only complaint was the bed. Very cheap and very soft. It sunk down to the box spring and you had the feeling of rolling off. To me the most expensive thing in any hotel should be the bed that's what your really renting all the other stuff is just stuff you really don't spend much time in your room but to sleep. The staff was good, location great and very quite.
Staying at this Comfort Inn was not one of my best ideas.
While, yes, the stay was comfortable and relaxing, the staffing here needs some SERIOUS training. My Fiancée and I stayed here because we were forced to pull off the road due to a huge storm in August. When we walked in, we had asked the Front Desk agent for one room for me and my fiancee. She gave me one set of keys, explained where the room was and then sent us on our way. We ate breakfast and then left for a 14 hour drive to North Carolina. While in NC, My fiancee checked her bank statements and found that the hotel had billed us twice! Confused about this, I called the hotel and asked them why I was double billed, and the agent had told me that i had 2 rooms booked under my name. I asked him to refund me for the second room as it was not requested or needed and he said he'd talk to his manager and get that money back to me.
One month goes by and the charge was still on my bill, so I called back asking about the refund and the agent on the phone told me the manager was in a meeting and would call me back. He did not call me back. I called again, and was told the manager was in a meeting once more. Finally after the 4th time calling the hotel, 2 months after my stay, I was able to speak with the manager.
Jacob, who says he is the GM, then told me that because I had two rooms booked under my name and that the second room was "used," that he would not be giving me my refund and referenced this due to policy. I informed him that I did not book two rooms, I did a "walk-in reservation" and asked for one room for me and my fiancee. He then referenced policy again stating, "because my system says you had two rooms, and that both rooms were used, then I won't be refunding you. But if you want to dispute the charges with your credit card, then maybe they will give you your money back."
I asked him how was the room used when the front desk agent only gave me ONE set of room keys. If I had been given two sets of room keys, then I would have informed them that I only needed one room. He could not answer. He told me that, the housekeeper had said that my second room was dirty and she had to clean it. If this is the case, then one of two things happened:
1) The front desk agent gave keys to this "second room" without checking my I.D. or asking for a name
2) the housekeeper lied about having to clean the second room.
Either way, my discussion with Jacob was less than favorable. I've worked in hotels for a few years now and can tell you this:
The front desk team NEEDS more training. After reading a few of these reviews and seeing your "Needs better staffing" pop up, I would say you should listen and revamp your training procedures. I'm mainly disappointed because the stay was nice. The room was nice and cool, the free breakfast was pretty decent. I can not however, give this hotel the credit it should due to the fact that everyone, from the GM all the way down to the front desk team, is untrained and needs to revamp their policies and training.
Hotel room was fine overall, clean. It is an older hotel and needs some updates, but was clean and satisfactory overall. My issue is with the customer service. I stayed here twice in the last month and was disappointed both times. I …
The hotel was close to freeway and attached to Conference Center. The hotel was very quiet. The daily breakfast was very good. The room was clean and well organized. It was very easy to make reservations and check in was well organized. I would recommend this hotel for anyone taking part of a Conference Center event.
Beautiful rooms--clean, comfortable, well-maintained. Breakfast selection was excellent. Hotel has some shoppinng & dining options nearby, and it's just a few miles from campus. I'd definitely stay here again.
I went there for a woman's conference last month. I asked for a double bed, since my sister and I would be sharing a room. When we got there, I was booked for a king! 🤦🏾♀️ They were booked, so I slept in a chair! The room was not cleaned, spider webs hanging up! The room smelled like cigarettes and urine, so we asked for housekeeping. The housekeeper came and sprayed the room, and she also, sprayed the bathroom, she didn't wipe up the floor, cuz I slipped in there, and I did the splits like I was in highschool! I reported it, and the woman who checked us in gave me rags to wipe up the floor, and the general manager, Jacob, refunded me $30, and said "Thanks for being so understanding." It was very disappointing to say the least. The breakfast was lackluster and the service was not very welcoming.
I didn't stay at comfort inn. I stayed at Best Western. One on the best place I've ever stayed at. Great staff, very clean room best of all pet friendly.
